Meet Will Keaty
Legal Career
Will Keaty has devoted nearly 14 years to Louisiana's legal system — serving in private practice, as Justice of the Peace, and most recently as a prosecutor with the Lafayette Parish District Attorney's Office for nearly three years, where he handled felony cases and worked to protect our community.
His time in private practice helping individuals and families through difficult moments — combined with his prosecutorial experience — gives him a balanced, all-sides perspective that will define his leadership on the bench.
Lafayette Born & Called Back Home
Will Keaty grew up in Lafayette Parish. He left to pursue his education and build early professional experience — including time in Colorado — but he chose to come home.
He returned to Lafayette to practice law, start a family, and plant permanent roots. He and Erin are raising four children in Broussard. He shows up at school events, church, Knights of Columbus meetings, and community gatherings — not as a candidate, but as a neighbor.
This community knows Will Keaty. And Will Keaty knows this community — its values, its people, and what it truly needs from a District Judge.
"I left, I learned, and I came back — because there's no place I'd rather raise my family and serve my community than right here in Lafayette Parish."
